A very unique, finely hand-painted set of six porcelain plates, each with a different hunt scene of game animals or birds, from the prestigious 19th century Paris firm of Hache and Lehalleur. Artist painted in the style of Limoges and possibly a privately commissioned set, each plate bears an elaborate monogram (CRA, ARC or ACR ?) on the front and the factory mark on the back. A delightful miniature French wooden shoe, made of walnut and very finely hand-carved in the tradition of the crafts of Normandy. It may have originally been a snuff box or held a pin cushion. Since it did not come with a lid, and there is no sign of where one was, I suspect it was a pin cushion, which would have had a filled velvet insert... very easy to replace.
