A very rare Niderviller grand plat (large platter) in petit feu from the Beyerle period! The charger was created circa 1765 - 1770 (rococo period) at Niderviller in Lorraine, in eastern France. Most of the Niderviller faience from the Beyerle period is now in museums. The rarity (see below) of this grand plat should make it attractive to serious collectors of 18th century ceramics. $350 USDAntique 18th C French Rococo STRASBOURG Faience Pottery Plate Assiette Louis XV Period 1760 - 1775 Petit Feu

Pottery:Antique:Faience:French:18th Century
A rare and beautiful, six-lobed, faience dinner plate with fleurs chatironnées (contoured flowers) from Strasbourg, France! The great production of "fleurs chatironnées" corresponds to the period of Joseph Hannong, between 1760 and 1775. The flowers, though simplified, are of fine quality and keep the originality of the "fleurs fines" in the offset bouquet and in its composition where one finds the flamboyant pink flower (peony?) and the use of Pourpre de Cassius enamel, accompanied by blue and ...

$395 USD18th C French Faience STRASBOURG HANNONG Platter 12 in. Plat c. 1730

Pottery:Antique:Faience:French:18th Century
One of a very rare, matching pair of very early Strasbourg faience plates, Hannong factory, circa 1721-50. This is the smaller size, the 12 inch Plat. The platter is signed "HK", with a dot above the H, on the underside. An old dealer's sticker is also seen, the accuracy of which is questionable, as explained below. A nearly identical pair of platters dating from the earliest period of the factory, under its founder, Charles-François Hannong (1669-1739), is exhibited at the Musée des Arts ...

SOLDSOLD Very Rare 18th C French Faience NIDERVILLER BEYERLE Plate c 1765 - 1770 Polychrome Bouquet Fleurs Fines !

Pottery:Antique:Faience:French:18th Century
Another beauty from my recent trip to France: a stunning example of early "fleurs fines" and the petit feu method! (The term means “fine flowers” and refers to the creation by free-hand painting of complex, realistic floral designs on faience.) The plate was created circa 1765 - 1770 by the factory at Niderviller in Lorraine, in eastern France, during the Beyerle period. Baron Jean Louis de Beyerle founded the Niderviller faience factory in 1754. Examples from his time are rare to find and ...
