Antique Framed Oil on Board Autumn Still Life Mums

A gorgeous gilt framed oil on masonry board Fall still life c.1890-1910, signed ‘M H DAKIN’ on the back and measuring 21¾” X 17¾”; painting is 20” X 16”. Depicted is a pottery vase filled with yellow football chrysanthemums and autumn leaves, a green bottle with cork, sherry or port in an antique flint stem, and clusters of grapes and a pear on the table. The gilt gesso over wood frame appears to be the inner frame of a larger one, but still very nice and can be used as is.

In excellent condition, no breaks, punctures or major losses, just a scratch above the glass and a few minor scattered flakes. Beautifully done – a real complement to any antique artwork collection!
