c.1910 Watercolor in Original Frame, Violets in Bowl Still Life

A charming watercolor on heavy paper c.1910-20’s, in the original frame and under glass, unsigned. It measures 14¾” X 12¾” and depicts a white porcelain bowl overflowing with white and pale lavender wood violets. The foot of the bowl has faint gilding, a few loose violets lay on the table. Soft washes of yellow, lavender and blue were used for the background and table top. Both the frame and the painting are in excellent condition. The paper backing was in bad shape and has been replaced, along with a new wire for hanging.
