Edwardian Czechoslovakia Red Glass Bead Multi-Strand Necklace

This 20½” long necklace dates to the Edwardian era and is made of translucent ruby red seed beads and larger translucent crystal beads. Judging by the quality of the glass, it is most likely Czechoslovakian. The red beads are strung in groups of six strands to each section and end with a larger crystal bead; each crystal bead is joined together to form a ‘berry’ rosette. I know this explanation probably doesn’t make sense, so please view my pictures.

There was no clasp so I added a simple goldtone spring ring and jump rings to either end. It looks and works fine as is, but a purist could add a more era-appropriate clasp if desired. The condition is excellent, but I must point out that one end section (where the clasp is) has only five stands rather than six – not at all detectable when worn.
