We respond to all orders within 24 hours and guarantee our customer's total satisfaction. We wish to treat our customers as we would wish to be treated, with dignity and respect.

We proudly stand behind our merchandise and diligently research each and every item we offer for sale and "authenticate" to the best of our ability with documentation whenever possible the estate and auction items we receive.

CUSTOMER FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE:

As a Ruby Lane dealer we are offered the option of blocking a customer for non-payment, fraud or abuse. Although this policy can be advantageous it is not totally without fault, therefore, it is the policy of Melange-Art that we will try harder to be more understanding in our customer's needs and call for a better line of open communication before randomly blocking a shopper. We feel strongly, except for fraud, there should be no reason to block someone. We offer layaway options and special rewards for our repeat customers. We want you to shop in a friendly family style atmosphere. Your business is most appreciated. Call us at any time, and we promise to listen to your individual needs.


RETURNS: There are no returns on custom jewelry orders or items purchased and paid on layaway.

RETURN SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS:

Fine Art, Crystal, Sculpture and other delicately packaged items must be repackaged with adequate professional shipping material to prevent breakage or damage in the return.

Insurance companies are not paying claims on items not packaged correctly and their adjuster will most certainly verify how a damaged item was packaged and boxed! We take our shipping seriously and ask that you do too. We have had only 1 damaged items in two years.

If you feel you can not ship an item back the same way you received it please take it to a professional shipper in order to guarantee your refund.
 
Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
Buyer pays for actual shipping & handling. All items will be calculated at the most reasonable rates and in most instances shipped Priority Mail and tracked. Insurance is required on items over $75 unless waived. Signatures are required on all items over $200.00.

PROOF OF NON RECEIPT:

90% of our goods are shipped via USPS Priority service. 5% Express Mail and 5% Federal Express. USPS takes loss or non-delivery of their packages very seriously. Melange-Art will file a "non-delivery claim investigation form" for you if you claim non-delivery.

PROCESS: A postal inspector will come out to interview you and you will be required to sign an affidavit that they the package never arrived. This is illegal to accept a package that is not addressed to you . . really! Insured packages require a signature and if the postal service finds out that the package was signed in error the perpetrator will face
years in prison.

Our Customers are very important! We kindly ask you to wait to see if the package turns up in a few additional days, Possibly it fell in the wrong individuals hands and needs to be redelivered. However, if the package has been lost a store credit will be processed until the claim has been investigated and paid. Unfortunately, most items can not be replaced because they are vintage and/or "one of a kind" items.

A claim takes 30-days to process and you will be notified of the out come of the investigation.

We can not be responsible for packages sent to non-billing addresses. Customers requesting a package to be sent to a commercial or office building address will be granted with the knowledge that they accepts the "risk" that it is going to a place of business, and that have agreed that a employee or front security is granted permission to accept and sign for delivery of their packages.

Restocking Fee:
There is a 15% Re-Stocking Fee on Fine Art only. We do not sell our Fine Jewelry, Antiques and Collectibles on a trial basis. Please call before ordering if you have any further questions on a specific item.

Buyer assumes cost of shipping both ways. Refunds will be issued only when items are returned via the original carrier and received in the same conditions as shipped Many of our items are very fragile and require special handling and packing and we take extra pre-cautions in shipping so that the items is delivered safely.
