Turn of the century TIFFANY & CO mother of pearl Jumelles, French for (opera glasses), once belonged to a refined lady. Their design features strips of abalone shell which are in mint condition. The Ferrule bars are brass which also is in exceptional condition with minor pit marks on the brass which would respond well to cleaning. The eye rings are made of mother of pearl with Tiffany & Co circling the rim. The original Tiffany blue velvet case is still in tack and the closure works, however, as you can see in the photos, the velvet has be rubbed off over the years from use. These are over 100 years old and truly collectible. Kovel sales records show these glasses selling in 1996 for $748.00 without the case. The set is a lovely find for a Tiffany collector.
