Vannes crystal from France is brilliantly clear with quite a bit of weight. The designs are functional art pieces as well as lovely pieces to display. Vannes French Art Crystal has the look and feel of Baccarat or Murano crystal but not the name or the price. This modernist designed triangular dish has no chips, cracks or crazing. Typical fine line scratches on the base of the dish for its generation. Etched Hallmark: Triangle logo Art Vannes France.

Vannes Art Glass History:

Art Vannes French Crystal was manufacturer by this company from 1950-70 when the business was closed and Crystal de Sevres was created. Vannes-le-Chantel is located in Eastern region of France in Lorraine County. They were known for their glass furnaces and today their animals and larger glass dishes and bowls are very collectible.
