Presenting D.H. Lawrence's exciting and rare privately published book coming out of Europe and dated 1928. The book is (unsigned). However, this is a very special Limited Edition of #600/1500. Library bound rich blue-green morocco leather with gilt ruled spine and 5 hub-spine. Collector's edition and lovely and believed to be one of the pirated copies out of Europe.

History: D.H. Lawrence authored one of the most controversial novels which was originally published in Florence in 1928 by one of his friend and later the in Paris 1929. The book was declared obscene because of its overt sexuality and liberal four-letter words. the complete text did not appear in England until 1960.

Lady Chatterley's Lover is D.H. Lawrence's most notorious works and today with our country's lack of moral code this book appears rather tame and certainly not "shameless or shocking" as it once was when D.H.Lawrence book appeared in the private European literary circles of the wealthy.
