SALE Vintage Pyrex Golden Pine Covered Casserole
This hard to find Pyrex baking dish was issued in 1961 as a Christmas promotion. The pattern name is Golden Pine, and features 3 glittering pinecones on the branch surrounded by other stems and starburst designs that remind me of a glistening snowy evening. The gilt gold designs are in excellent condition on the white glass base, and the milk glass itself is also in excellent shape. There are no chips, scratches or flaws to the rectangular dish. The inner bowl of the casserole is smooth and shiny without utensil marks. The base for the set looks brand new; however the lid is not as lucky. There is one small chip in the clear glass handle edge. The edges of this chip are smooth, and this very minor flaw does not affect the function or balance of the lid. The clear lid once had gilded star burst designs scattered over the top; most of this design has worn away over the years. This rare Pyrex casserole was only made in the 2 QT rectangle shape, which measures 11 inches in total length including the lipped handles. Inner usable length measures 9 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches, and height of the baking dish measures 2 1/2 inches. Perfect for your holiday table or the Pyrex collector, this fabulous vintage casserole is sure to decorate your kitchen.
