Triple Strand Gemstone Necklace with Large Lentil Lampwork Glass Focal Bead

Soft yet dramatic, this gorgeous necklace will definitely add some color to any outfit! The centerpiece focal bead was made in Medusa's Stones glass studio using Italian Moretti and Vetrofond glass rods in shades of soft turquoise, yellow, pale lavender and dark silver plum. The colors mix in abstract linear designs. Vintage AB crystal rondelles cover either end of the handmade bead, and Bali sterling silver beads rest between the focal bead and gemstone strands. There are 3 strands of natural gemstones that form the necklace. Glowing Mother of pearl, faceted amazonite and soft yellow African opal stones mix together beautifully, perfectly complementing the lampwork glass focal. Swarovski crystals separate the African opal gems, and Czech silver lined sparkling clear seed beads separate the amazonite gemstones. Sterling silver cones bring the stone strands together, and an adjustable J hook and chain clasp makes this piece very comfortable to wear. The flat rounded lampwork glass bead measures 1 1/4 inches in both length, and height measures 1 inch. Wearable length measures 19 to 22 inches. A single Mother of pearl charm dangles freely from the end of the clasp's extender chain as a finishing touch.

The lampwork bead was hand made by me, Sheila Papaioannou, in my glass studio. I use fine Italian and German glass rods to create my unique beads on a Carlisle Mini CC oxygen and propane mix torch. All beads are fully annealed in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability. I am a proud member of the Self Representing Artist Project.
