SOLD Vintage Dutch Zaanse 2-weight teardrop clock, circa 1970’s

One of the smaller styles of the Dutch teardrop clocks; 2-weights, 8-day movement, with hour and half hour strike on a bell located on the top of the clock. Cast brass decorations with a figure of Atlas holding the world; pendulum is a figure of a man riding a horse. Teardrop weights are slightly age pitted. There is a ceramic plate with a Dutch windmill scene on the bottom of the clock. The silver chapter ring is mounted on a ceramic square. Silver chapter ring is stamped “Made in the Netherlands”.

We are a full service clock shop and do all our restorations in house. The movement is original to the clock and has been professionally restored; disassembled, cleaned, pivots resurfaced and polished, bushings were necessary, lubricated and thoroughly checked out.
