This beautiful American made banjo clock was manufactured by Seth Thomas around 1929. On the inside of the painted glass (bottom) the owner wrote “October 12, 1929”. This is an eight day wind timepiece in very good condition. The painted glass is original with no flaking or cracking. The scene is called “Perry’s Victory”. The dial is in good condition with the exception of the area around the key hole where the paint has come off. The clock has a heavy brass bezel. One of the last clocks made before all the American Clock Manufacturers went out of business during the depression. This is a unique piece of history as well as a wonderful timepiece.
Dimensions: 39-1/2 x 4” d x 10-1/2” w
We are a full service clock shop and do all our restorations in house. The movement is original to the clock and has been professionally restored; disassembled, cleaned, pivots resurfaced and polished, bushings were necessary, lubricated and thoroughly checked out.
