We specialize in restoring antique American and European clocks. All clocks are guaranteed to be authentic.
This movement is an 8 day time and strike. It has a deep rich strike to count the hours and it strikes one time on the half hour on a bell.
The case is in excellent condition; all original with no paints or spray lacquers used. It still has great patina. There are a few places on the edges that are rough and a thin scratch on the top toward the back. The back of the case has the original paper (small piece missing from the left side). Paper has the directions for the clock and reads: Adamantine Clock Patented September, 1880. Seth Thomas Clock Co., makers of clocks and watches. It also has “ADAMANTINE” stamped in read across the directions. Paper also has the Seth Thomas Trade Mark (ST within a diamond shape surrounded by a circle). The paper dial is original and has discolored slightly with age.
Dimensions: 17-3/4” (from foot to foot); 7-1/8” (back foot to front foot); 12” high
We are a full service clock shop and do all our own repairs. We have been restoring clocks since 1964. The movement, original to this clock, has been professionally restored; disassembled, cleaned, pivots resurfaced and polished, bushings were necessary, lubricated and thoroughly checked out. Each clock comes with instructions for care and handling.
