SOLDSOLD Vintage Dutch Zaanse 2-weight teardrop clock, circa 1970’s

One of the smaller styles of the Dutch teardrop clocks; 2-weights, 8-day movement, with hour and half hour strike on a bell located on the top of the clock. Cast brass decorations with a figure of Atlas holding the world; pendulum is a figure of a man riding a horse. Teardrop weights are slightly age pitted. Circa 1930, This is a beautiful art deco piece that really shows well. Base is black marble on the top with sides of the base a creamy green with brown streaks and six black marble stripes. The birds are case metal with bronze and green coloring. There is a small chip on the back side of the base and some discoloration on the back of the round clock piece. *This had a one spring movement that was damaged and unrepairable. Large 3-weight westminster wall clock, 1970. 8-day new German chain driven movement; Chimes every quarter hour and strikes the hour. Beautiful grandfather like sound.
