I am a big Blue & White Porcelain fan,so needless to say I think these are especially beautiful. Ernst Bohne Sohne was from Rudolstadt Thuringa, Germany. Ernst Bohne was a painter. The word Sohne means sons, or son. Ernst died in 1856 and his three sons took over the factory. I think his work is very Meissen like. This boy and girl figurine is of the finest Porcelain. The pictures will show the details better than I can describe them. They are each holding a very ornate Basket. I suppose they could be for salt's or sweetmeats. They each measure 8" tall and 3 3/4" across. The pair is in immaculate condition. They are of course hand painted. They are fully marked with the maker's mark and registration impressed numbers. Please ask any questions.
