This is a Pastoral scene Plate. The flowers are encircled around the outer portion. The rim is like a Pie, fluted and scalloped. The center scene is a English country side with a castle in the background. There is a Lady with a little girl and a man off to the left side. There is a horse and a few cows in the fore ground. Wm. Adams & Co. was from Tunstall & Stoke. Adams was also a member of the Wedgwood Group. This is yet anothe plate from Adams called Cattle Scenery showing a different pattern. The one thing in common is usually Cows. Maybe Sheep. This plate dates Ca. 1879 to 1900. It is probably from the 1880's. There are three tiny nibbles on the backside of the rim. It does not show from the front. It barely shows from the back. There are no other chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations. It does show some utility marks in a certain light. This Plate is marked. The Plate is 10" across. Please ask any questions.
