Flow Blue 1845 Villroy & Boch Cup & Saucer,Bryonia Pattern, Mint

This is a highly collectible pattern named Bryonia by Villroy & Boch. This Lovely Cup and Saucer was sold to me as dating to 1845. In the book Fascinating Flow Blue on page 87 it shows the same mark and does say it is Ca. 1845. In Petra Williams book the pattern Bryonia is shown by a different Manufacturer and she dates it to Pre 1891. This is an oversize cup and saucer. The cup is 4 3/4" tall. It is a little over 3/4" from Rim to Rim. The Saucer is 6 1/4" across. A most beautiful pattern of Grape Leaves trimmed with Gold. A rather Rare pattern manufactured by the highly recognized Villroy & Boch. One of Germany's finest. there is no damage at all. No chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations.
