Offered is an attractive and interesting vintage cookbook from 1940. This was produced by Household Magazine and is titled Household Searchlight Recipe Book. Without any pictures, it is 321 pages and 25 classifications of recipes. There are pages in the back to add one's own recipes and there are several like Gen's Pie Crust. On loose scratch paper there is also a recipe for Dandelion Wine. This book has an attractive cover with a black textured background and the title in a pebbly orange cartouche. It measures 7 x 10 1/2". The original owner's name appears on the front cover.
