In high Victorian style, this engaging sterling dresser set epitomizes the grand and elegant art nouveau period. One will note the graceful repousse work in scrolls and flowers. The original owner's initials are prominently displayed--(I wish I was better at deciphering them--ELP?). Each piece is marked with "Sterling." Here are the details: the long brush is 7" long and 1 3/4" tall and 2 1/4" wide. The two side brushes measure 5" long, 3" wide and 1 1/2" tall. Note on one side of the large brush, one partial row of bristles is missing. Also included is the top for a comb, but the comb's celluloid had deteriorated beyond the point of salvation. This measures 7 1/2" long. The sterling covers of the brushes is a thin layer, therefore, one will note some denting. Also, the large brush's sterling cover is loose from the brush (FYI-the base is wood)--I have not repaired as the buyer may want to perform that in a different manner than I would.
