This plate would be an attractive addition to any holiday table setting--perfect for cookies or fudge. It would also be a nice back drop for any holiday display or cabinet piece throughout the year. Designed by Ruth Reeves for Waverly Products, it features a combination of Swedish designs. Included in bright colors of red, green, gold are a decorated Christmas tree, a rocking horse, drum, toy clown, etc. A lady in full ethnic dress in front of a wreathed fireplace holds center attention. The back imprint announces that this is a Waverly Product "consolidated molded products corporation." There is a "c" encircled and "1954" which I am going to assume is the production date. The plastic, molded plate is 14 1/2" square with a 2" concave edge. I am finding a smudge on the back side, otherwise--no cracks and the colors remain true.
