About Us
Like many of you, I’ve always been attracted to unique jewelry. I started buying and selling vintage jewelry more than 25 years ago. Feeling a need to “save” damaged pieces, I taught myself to make basic repairs, which led to re-designing pieces using orphan beads and findings. One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was adding new, semi-precious gemstones, pearls and metal to my creations. My friends and family – God bless them - had faith in me and encouraged me by hosting some home shows. Soon I was creating custom jewelry for folks across Virginia and neighboring states. In 2003 I started doing lampwork, creating my own glass beads with a torch. In 2007, when the demand for creating jewelry outgrew my home studio, I opened a shop, Mariah Boone – Custom, Vintage and Estate Jewelry.

My custom designs use pearls, Swarovski crystals, turquoise, shells, sterling and copper, as well as other organic materials. I am a lampwork artist and incorporate glass beads I’ve made in many of the designs. I am particularly proud of my clasp-free necklaces and bracelets that incorporate magnetic beads or use extra long lariat and rope styles so they are easy to take on and off. Mariah Boone also carries funky, fun and unique vintage pieces in all price ranges, with a particular emphasis on crystal necklaces, rhinestone pins and Mexican silver pieces.

You can find our shop in the picturesque village of Monterey, in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia. We love meeting and getting to know people but if you can’t make it to our shop in beautiful downtown Monterey, we welcome you to visit us on Ruby Lane.
