This set of Nursery Favorites was a retail giftware line. This line of handpainted underglaze figurines was produced from 1972 until 1981. There are 20 different characters in the set. They were issued in four sets of five. Each set having its own distinctive colored box. Tom Piper measures 2 ¾” high. He is dressed in a tan/blue outfit and has a hat with a rose color tassel, has light brown hair and is holding a pig in his right arm. He is marked Wade England on the back of his base. It is from set 2 issued in 1973.
