Here is an especially detailed lovely German Half-Doll type Perfume Bottle in excellent condition. The little lady is made in 2 sections. The bottom is an orange-red tiered long skirt. The top is a very pretty fraulein dressed in a low cut blue top with white puffed sleeves. Her light brown hair is carefully curled. She has matching eyebrows, defined eyes, a small well-formed nose and rosebud lips. She has lightly rouged cheeks. The stopper which fits into the skirt base is cork which holds the original clear blown glass dipping rod which is intact and ends in a delicate thin point. Incised into the base of the bottle is "Germany" and the difficult to read mold numbers which I think read "9938" or perhaps "9988". The total height is about 4". There are no chips, cracks or crazing. This figural perfume bottle dates from the 1930's or earlier. It was made in one of the many German Potteries in operation in the first part of the 20th century which are known for their clever and detailed work.
