This is the book, 'Ragged Dick' by Horatio Alger Jr. It measures 8" tall, 5 1/8" wide and 1" deep with 262 pages. First copyrighted in 1868, this is the third copyright date shown. The 1868 copyright was by A. K. Loring, the 1896 copyright was by Horatio Alger Jr. and the Copyright Renewed 1910 was by O. A. Cheney. It is published by the John C. Winston Co. . The cover is of light aqua blue covered cardboard with a pasted on color illustration on the front. There is no dust jacket. There is slight wear on the corners and top and bottom of the spine which also shows sun bleaching. Pages 65 through 75 show small stains on the side edges on the lower quarter of the pages. There are no tears, bends or scribblings on any of the pages. The frontspiece says that the book is illustrated, but the only illustration that I have found was on the front of the cover. This book is in great condition for its age of 96 years.. Happy Collecting!!!
