This is the October, 1912 Implement & Vehicle Record Harness and Saddlery published by T. M. Shearman. It is in excellent condition for its age with only a few small edge tears, a bent over corner on the cover and on the back and some separation at the top of the spine. There is also a small bit of the top layer of the cover torn off near the center of the spine in the front. This magazine measures 9 12" by 12" with 102 pages, 15 of which have full page frame-able ads on them some on both sides and it will be hard to decide which one to frame, all the more reason to keep this lovely gem intact. The back cover has a John Deere wagon add with pictures of three iron clad wagons, the Davenport Steel Wagon, the Old Reliable Peter Schuttler wagon, and the John Deere Iron Clad on the top. Some of the interior ads include Michigan Buggy Co, Oliver Chilled Plow Works, Emerson-Brantingham Plows, International Harvester, Monarch Ensilage Cutters, R. M Wade & Co. Rock Island Plows, Studebaker Bros. Wagons, Frank Millers Harness Dressing, John Clark Saddlery Company and others and then there are half page ads for Altorfer Bros Co washing machines, Knapp Reversable Plows, Beatsall and Castroline Harness dressing, The Smith Worthington Co Harness and Saddle company, Al Furstnow Saddle Company, Waterloo Boy Cream Separators, Thomson-Diggs Co Disc Plow, Bain Wagons, Eagle Trailing Outfits, etc. What a wonderful history of the transition between horse-drawn and motor driven farming!!!!! And again, I can not say enough about the condition!!! There are no interior tears, stains or folds. Happy Collecting!!!!!
