Hand Blown Hand Enameled Decanter Stopper Shot Glass

This is a hand blown, hand enameled decanter with a stopper that doubles as a shot glass. I see no maker's mark but there is a hand painted '40.' on the bottom of the decanter, and a number 42 on the bottom of the decanter. It has a broken, un-polished pontil. This measures just over 11" tall and 3" in diameter. The only damage is a teensy chip on the decanter's lip. It is about 1/8" long and about 1/100" deep. There is wear, however, in that much of the fired on gold trim is worn off. The paint on the leaves are of a different content and I think are from a decal. I would date this from somewhere in the 1800's. However, I am no expert and if any of you know more than I do about this decanter, please feel free to email me.
