This is an American made Art Nouveau silver quadruple plate casserole missing its liner. It was made in 1904 by the Victor Silver Co. which was a part of the Derby silver Co. . American Art Nouveau was only made for just a couple of years as it never caught on in America like it did in Europe. Therefore it is very hard to find. This casserole measures 9 3/4" in diameter, not counting the handles, and 6" tall. There are no dents, but the silver plating is worn and I have not been able to get it all polished to the bright silver color. Some of the parts, especially the flat parts, I can't get past the dark gray to the shiny silver color no matter what silver polish I use. I believe that this needs to be re-plated. This is a beautiful casserole, no dents, with a lovely floral design, so typical of Art Nouveau. Happy Collecting!!!!!!
