This is a 1904 Sectionized map of the state of Oregon, put out for sale by the J. K. Gill Company of Portland Oregon, and is published by the Title Guarantee & Trust Company, compiled by Huber & Maxwell Curl Engineers and engraved by the Bushong & Co Map engravers. It is all in color and even shows post office's and Railroad stations and the populations of the towns, based upon the 1900 census. What a great item for an author doing research of that era. . . Folded it looks like a small booklet and measures 7 3/8" by 4 3/4" by 1/8" thick. It measures 28" by 40 1/2" unfolded. There are a couple of small corner holes, caused by wear to the folded map. Based upon its condition, I doubt that it has been unfolded and used much at all. The colors aren't faded at all. The cover is worn at the spine, bent at the corners, and worn on the edges with some soiling from age. There is some evidence on the back side of the map that a tiny insect got crushed between the folds of the map here and there. There is no water damage and only one small circle where there could be an oil stain on the back of the cover. This measures about 1/8" in diameter. Based upon its age, I doubt that there are many of these maps out there and that if they are, they are in as good a condition as this one. Some people say that I give a too detailed description when it comes to damage but I want to be careful so that no one thinks I misrepresented this fine map. Happy Collecting!!!!!!
