This is a lovely art pottery, art deco in design and era, cobalt vase, marked 'made in Japan'. The designer used the colored glaze next to colored glaze technique used in the decoration of Majolica. It measures 2 15/16" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall. There are some spots near the bottom where the blue glaze did not cover all the way down. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, dings, or other damage. Happy Collecting!!!!!

The Dermar Company or Store was on 5th ave in New York in about the 1920's. This jar held bath powder. The original label is completely intact on the top of the cover. It measures 4 1/8" to the top of the knob on the cover and 3 1/2" in diameter. The handle is in great condition. There is no damage to the jar, just the usual fine all-over crazing for this type of pottery, and a manufacturer's flaw. This is a hand painted, made in Japan sandwich tray without the bamboo handle. It measures 10 1/2" long, 9 1/2" wide and 1 3/8" deep. It is crazed which is usual, there is a spider web crack near the mark on the bottom, and there is a stress crack showing up on the top by one of the corners. I date this from the 1920's or so. This is a hand painted Japanese pottery three part relish with a bound handle. It measures 7 5/8" in diameter, 4 5/8" tall to the handle and the dish itself is 7/8" tall. The handle is slightly warped and it has the all-over crazing that pottery of this type has. I date this from the 1920's to '30's. The green coverage on the top rim did not stick to the top of the rim in all places, indicating a wax or oil on the surface before glazing, a mistake made during the manufacturing.
