This necklace was one of my own in the Swingin' Sixties so I do know how old it is. It is approximately 30 inches long including the carved horn closures. The centre bead is carved clay, the clear beads are heavy plastic, the black beads are wood, with wooden dividers between them, the flat beads between the clay and plastic beads are made from the bark of a tree and the closure hook and eye is carved horn. It is strung on nylon and is very sturdy. A gorgeous piece of handmade jewellery.
