This edition of Sunlight and Shadow by John B. Gough was published by A. D. Worthington, Hartford, Connecticut in 1882. It has 542 pages, is 7 3/4" - 9 3/4 inches tall, with a steel engraved portrait of the author on the frontispiece and 12 full page wood engravings. It has a brown buckram cover with gilt designs and lettering. No dust jacket was issued. It is a collection of anecdotes from Gough's popular temperance lectures. There is an author autograph under his portrait but I think that it was printed as part of the book and not an original signature. There is a very slight spine seperation at the dedication page. A wonderful old book for the collector.
