The red cotton tent dress has cream stitching and cream crochet trim around the neckline, armhole, and cuff. I love how it is open around the neck so your skin pokes though. The neckline and cuffs have red elastic to adjust the gathering. White plastic beads hang from the ties, one on each sleeve, and two on the neckline ties. The original belt is included. It has a slit (like a wrap dress) to put the other end through.
Although this is a larger size, I have it belted to fit a size 6. You can wear this with gladiator sandals, or slouch boots and a leather belt in the fall.
Sant'Angelo got his lucky break in 1968, when Diana Vreeland chose him to create clothing for the model Veruschka. His business wear items are less desirable to collectors.

"American women were wearing stiff boxes with zippers up the back as dresses. I thought it was time for them to loosen up. Why not be gypsies?" Giorgio Sant'Angelo, 1978.
