Wilson Folmar 1960's brocade gown with trim and lace

In 1936, Wilson Folmar was head designer for Jay-Thorpe, a well-known department store. By 1964 he began designing wonderful evening dresses under his own name. This 1960s brocade gown is made of exquisite brocade material and the bodice portion is covered in lace. Woven trim covers the cuffs, waistline, and hem. The lace material covering the bodice is a rainbow of colors, some metallic so please view the close up photos to appreciate its detail.

The sleeves are fluted, there is a center back zipper. And the gown is lined. This item came from a woman who owned a formal clothing store in the 1960s and worn most of her dresses only once, if at all. I have not had this item drycleaned, and would recommend it before wearing it to an event. There are no stains, it just needs to be freshened up.
