I picture this piece unbuttoned over a white bathing suit, or tailored cigarette pants and a tank with a plunging neckline, oh so French Riviera! Recently there has been a resurgence in interest in Lanvin, and rightfully so. This French fashion house has been around for almost 100 years. The whimsical fabric feels like silk but there is no tag to verify its content. Occasionally you will see a slub, similar to that of a shantung silk. There is a thin belt made of the coat's fabric, it can be tied in the back to create more of a shape. Do not be wary of the horizontal striping of the print, the long length is slimming. The collar is slightly oversized, and the sleeves are gathered into the cuffs. There is a 2 inch tear in the hem, it can either be repaired as a seam, or have the coat shortened to eliminate it. This item has been cleaned.
