Completely breathtaking 1930's Wedding Gown with extra long train. We love wedding gowns and dressing brides and have done so for years. This is one of the finest 1930's gowns we have handled.

I am fairly certain, and will confirm...that this is silk..or at the very least mostly silk. This actually feels like silk charmeuse to me. It drapes like a dream and has such a dreamy surface.

The color of the gown is candlelight...deep ivory. Many gowns from the 1930's had fanciful elements drawn from Medieval or Renaissance period fashions. This influence is apparent in the sleek and simple lines of the gown, sleeves, train and the beautiful collar detail in the back of the gown.

The bodice is defined with soft gathers for the bust, a beautifully draped cowl neckline, and the elevated waist. The sleeves are very full and softly gathered...draping over the wrists and the fitted elongated cuff that culminates in a point over the hand.

The neck detail in the back features a softly curving form that stand up and frames the head. A magical detail to be sure.

As the gown softly defines the female form..it drops into a gored skirt that has a few additional panels which gives it a delightful drapey quality. As the skirt goes towards the back, the panels gradually lengthen and gently merge into the 6 foot plus train.

The dress buttons up the back in self covered buttons.

We feel this is an exceptional vintage 1930's Wedding or Bridal Gown. Completely unique, beautiful styling, a great size and made with the finest fabric.

CONDITION: Sold as found. Overall very good condition. It really looks as beautiful in person as it does in the photos. There are a couple of tiny holes (1/4" or smaller), some very tiny spots or soft stains, there is water spotting in parts but mostly at the train. The back needs to have more buttons added...very simple repair. The sleeves are kept in shape with a fitted net sleeve underneath...this needs some attention.

This beautiful gown should be sent to a cleaning service that handles fine vintage. They will know how to clean this right. We are happy to make suggestions if you purchase the gown.

SIZE: Medium. We pinned it for our photos to fit our very small mannequin. It is hard to measure as the bodice is bias cut. PLEASE...always call us, or email BEFORE you buy to make sure we answer any fit concerns.

Length: front is 57"..back add an additional 6 feet for the train.

Bust approx 42" (this should not "fit"...it needs room to hang right). It is approx 32" under the bust where you see the bodice attached. This is not a waist measurement.

Hips are approx 44"

Shoulders are 15-16"
