Vintage Harris Tweed Balmacaan Coat 42-44 *Great Find!

I love this classic Scottish Harris Tweed Balmacaan Coat. A timeless and very hard to find Men's vintage coat. We love all things tweed, plaid, woven and Scottish. The definition of a Balmacaan is a loose, full overcoat with raglan sleeves, originally made of rough woolen cloth.

The hand woven Harris Tweed is a deep Rust and cream Herringbone tweed. It has flecks of red and green. A classic beautifully woven Harris Tweed.

The style is basic..as defined above...for a Balmachan. Raglan sleeves, front button closure. Slash pockets. It is partially lined. Elegantly and simply tailored. I could find no maker's label.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition.

S I Z E: Estimate Probably a Size 42-44. IMPORTANT...measurements are outside dimensions. As this is an overcoat, be sure to allow extra for fit with suit or sweater. SIZE is for reference only. Because it is raglan sleeves it is hard to exactly measure shoulders and sleeves.
