An advertising painted tin foot measure that would have been used by a shoe salesman. The measure reads "Property of Mason Shoe Mfg. Co., Established 1904, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin", and was manufactured by Sterling Worth, Inc. of Chicago. The measure includes the instructions for use as part of the painted surface.
