Northwood Maple Leaf Custard Glass Spooner Green Gold Gilt

Beautiful example of early Northwood Custard Glass. This pretty spooner is in the Maple Leaf Pattern. It is a beautifully naturalistic pattern with three leaves and stems forming the handles. They are on a veined and textured background. It is a soft creamy custard color with a hint of green.

Each leaf has been enhanced with a lightly applied green stain. The edges are gold gilt. There was once gold gilding on the scalloped rim, but it has mostly worn off over time except for the areas at the top of the handles.

This scarce piece is 4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across the top. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or stains.
