Paden City Clear Military Hat Powder Dish

Nice Clear Glass Military Hat Powder Box or Pin Dish from Paden City circa 1920's. These hats were made in three styles (concentric rings/stippled brim, plain and plain with a stippled brim). This is the third type.

It has a smooth base. The sides and the brim are also plain. The lid has concentric circles. There is one large eagle insignia in the front center, and two smaller ones on the side.

The lid to this hat measures 5 3/4 inches across. From tip of brim to back of lid is 5 1/2 inches long. It is 2 1/2 inches at the tallest point.

Condition is good. The mold seams on this one are smoother than others I have. There are a few air bubbles, as is common in this type of glass. The only issue to note is on the inside of the rim on the base piece. It is right behind the large insignia, so is difficult to see. It is a 1/2 inch rough area made up of several tiny chips.
