The ashtray itself is a dark green blue. If you don't smoke, this would also make a lovely change dish. Or perhaps this hunting dog will watch your keys for you.
The base is 5 1/2 x 4 5/8 wide and 1 1/4 inches tall. It is 3 1/2 to the top of the dogs head.
It is marked on the bottom Copyright L & M Inc. (Lipor & Mann) I have seen these with a Swank label on the bottom. Swank marketed dresser valets, and other vanity items through men's apparel shops and department stores. I believe this was part of their "Hunt Club" line.
