Double Deer TV Lamp Gun Metal Gray circa 1950's

Very popular in the 1950's, television lamp provided soft lighting for TV viewing.

This impressive piece features a Doe and Fawn on a rocky slope. The book TV Lamps to Light The World (Schuman) shows this color as Bronze. To me it appears more of a gun-metal gray. The ears, tails and hooves of the deer as well as parts of the rocky ground are highlighted in chartreuse green. This is done in an agate effect commonly used by Royal Haegar.

This large piece is 11 1/2 inches wide and 13 inches tall. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a little spotting and streaking on the finish, which may have been in the making.

I do have the original light fixture that came with it. There were exposed wires, so I did not test it. I have removed it for safety reasons. I can send it along with the lamp, but I highly recommend that you purchase a new one to replace it.
