Welcome to Maiden Memories! They just don't make children's books like this any longer. The verses are so sweet and the illustrations are wonderful.

Published by the P.F. Volland Company with an introduction by Elizabeth Gordon this book is a compilation of other popular children's story books. Volland issued this gift book with excerpts from the best books in the SUNNY BOOK series including some of the more scarce titles.

The book has paper boards and is string tied with silk cord through punch holes at the top of the binding. It is oblong, measuring 6"x11", and is unpaginated. The cover is really very clean but has some slight rust marks along the top from where the binding was stapled. Both bottom corners are very slighted creased. There is some pencil writing on the front cover in the yellow area and also some on the reverse in the upper left hand corner. Quite possibly the reverse writing is the original price.

Some of the stories in the book include; Come Play With Me,The Gigglequicks,Sunny Rhymes for Happy Children, Billy Bunnys Fortune,and Tales of Little Cats, among many others.

The most amazing thing for the age of this book is the original box, although a little worse for wear, it is present. I have included a photo of it.
