This is a stunning little jar that I purchased in good faith from a French Dealer I've done a lot of business with.

Sadly, he missed an area at the back of the container that has a small hole and repair. I have to admit that I didn't catch it either...but my camera did! So, rather than send it all the way back to Paris I'm passing it along at my cost. The repair is an old one, and well enough done that 2 of us missed it! Luckily too - it is at the back.

Measuring 3" wide, foot to foot, it also stands 3" high.

The jar sits on its' own footed base, gilt over bronze and shows a deep, attractive patina. Coloration is unusual and outstanding. It will make a lovely addition to your collection.

CONDITION: Very fine except for the repair as described above. No loss of paint. Stands perfectly straight on 3 elaborate legs. Hinged lid is tight and fully functional. Interior lid is also painted. 19th Century, France.
