I found it with a gorgeous unframed, heavy cameo hanging from it on thin chains and thought the cameo too fragile to be left swinging about - so I rescued them both by separating the two. It didn't look to me like they were together historically because this piece would be late 19th century and the cameo about 50 years earlier.
Marked and tested as 9K, it is a beautiful red gold.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Original c clasp is fully functional. No repairs to note. Etruscan balls are pierced which leads me to believe they were once - or intended as gold stringing beads. The Georgian & Victorians typically remade their jewelry along the way to pass it down in one form or another to future generations. Circa late 1800's. 9 carat. British Hallmarks.
