A heavy double ply mesh is simple and trimmed in the most unusual fringe of tub and lozenge shaped metal beads. There is the expected fringe at the bottom of the bag, but on this one there is also a generous fringe about a quarter way down from the top.

Kissing lock top closure is set with sapphire cabs.

The bag measures 7" across and 8.5" long. Chain link carrying strap is 16" long, rising a comfortable 7" from the top of the bag.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. Sturdy mesh is fully present at sides of the bag and completely attached as it should be. A missing fringe and a half of one are not visible except when the bag is laid out flat. Light tarnish in keeping with age. Germany, late 19th century.
