Exceptional Ralph Togel 3.3 carat Ruby & Diamond Convertible Brooch, 18K - Estate

Another wonderful piece from the Jewelers' estate is this two piece hanging brooch by the late Ralph Togel.

Togel was an elitist jeweler and this was designed for competition and not released to the public until now.

For a very confident lady who likes to have fun with her jewelry - this one delivers! A dimensional "strawberry" is hand set with 48 round and faceted intense red rubies totaling 2.40 carats. The leaves are represented in diamonds with 2 small emeralds thrown in - just for fun.

The strawberry has no broaching appliance. Instead, it hangs through from the stem (hidden loop) from an 18 karat white gold "safety-pin" studded with diamonds! The two pieces separate so either can be worn on its' own. The safety pin can be worn as a collar or scarf pin or can be used to hang any watch... diamond heart - or any other special piece you may have. The strawberry of course can be worn hanging from a gold wire, chain or ribbon. Worn together, the strawberry articulates from the pin attracting the light to the facets of the gorgeous rubies & diamonds.

The ensemble together measures 1 5/8" across and hangs 1 3/4" down. Worn on its' own as a collar or scarf pin, the safety pin is 1 5/8" wide by 3/4" and the strawberry is 7/8" wide x 1 1/4" long.

CONDITION: Absolutely Mint. This has been stored away in a Safe for years. 18K White and Yellow Gold, beautifully polished inside and out. Diamonds: 44 round brilliant cut, .90 carat. VVS-VS, Color F-G. Rubies: 48 round mixed cuts, 2.40 carats. Intense Red sl/P/R 5-5 Clarity, LI1-2. (All weights are by gauge and formula). Weight by scale: 13.1 grams. Hallmarks: RT, 18K. Canada, 60's-70's.
