Layaway purchases welcome. See "Other Information" under Terms of Sale for details.
The small round beads are steel like silver creating texture against a background of iridescent sequins emitting midnight blue, bronze, fuchsia, deep greens & a hint of purple.
Measuring a neat 4" wide by 6" long, the drawstring carrying cords rise 5" from the top of the bag when it's closed. The cord is topped with a beaded knot.
CONDITION: Remarkable for its' age! The beading and sequins remain fully intact, as do the cords and polychrome lining. A few beads are loose on the knot at the top of the cords & should be re tacked to prevent loss. Fully hand assembled. Belgium, late 1800's.
PLEASE NOTE: THE COLOURS ARE BY FAR MORE SUBTLE THAN OUR PHOTOGRAPHS SUGGEST.
This lovely bag is sturdy enough for wear.
