Beautiful Beaded Bag with Exceptional Frame. France, circa 40's

Beautifully shaped, this lovely bag from the 40's is fully beaded with round, pearl-like beads creating a white background to offset the deep copper bugle beaded pattern.

An exceptional frame is pierced and embossed in gold tone metal punctuated with 4 cabochon Italian Coral stones.

A clean & spacious interior is a treat to open and fully lined in vivid red silk satin, housing 2 open pockets.

Measurements: 6" h x 8.25" w. The pretty brass carrying chain is 11" long rising 4.5" from the top of the twisted branch closure.

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. A very few missing beads do not detract but have been reflected in the pricing. Hand made in France and signed by gold-stamp within the interior: MADE IN FRANCE BY HAND EXCLUSIVELY FOR CREED. (Creed refers to a world renowned elitist Toronto Shop that changed it's name to CREEDS in the late 40's and sadly closed its' doors sometime in the 80's.)
