A Very Large Shell Cameo Carved in 3 Portraits - 40's

A huge shell cameo portrays the cameos of 3 women. Two face right while the third faces left.

Well carved in medium relief and nice detail, revealing Elizabethan costume this cameo is unmounted and measures a large 2.5" x 2".

CONDITION: Very fine vintage condition. Naturally occurring growth lines from 9 to 10 o'clock do not penetrate and are expected in a shell of this size.Does not appear to have ever been mounted. This dates to the 40's era.
